Why You Should Shop Ethically

We hear you asking the all important question "why is it important to shop ethically?"

As you may have bought your item from us and are now wondering why you might have paid a little bit extra. 

Well there is a simple answer, you wouldn't want to buy something from someone and for the artisan or individual who made to not get a fair wage. Here at EasternInspiration we ensure this as our suppliers have ensured we meet all stringent checks with their manufacturers to ensure you the end user can purchase with a clear head and consciously not worry about these things. Just leave that side to us as it's our duty after all. We also ensure that for all wooden items that are made that more trees are planted in their place to replenish the deficit that we take to offset our demand, as it’s wrong to just take all the time - it’s important to give back also.

I mean i'm not going to sit here and show you images of polar bears on icebergs as we're sure you've seen all that before elsewhere. However, unless you've been under a rock for many years you will understand the importance of doing your part for the environment. Below I have outlined a few reasons we believe you should be shopping ethically:

Unique Beauty - Ethical products, more so ours. As we don't have a huge warehouse where we can store these items tend not to be mass produced so therefore we believe each gift you order is special and in terms unique in its own right. 

Clash - Lets not forget this if you shop unethically there will be an impact on the environment. A lovely statement made by Mahatma Gandhi said "There is no beauty in a cloth (or gift) if it makes hunger and unhappiness" a truly lovely and very apt statement especially for today's day and age.

Entitle - Ethical products aren't usually made by large corporations. So help us to empower the individuals and help them grow so this dying art doesn't disappear overnight. 

Devotion - These gifts are made with a hidden love and passion for the development of them. It is therefore we can unequivocally say that each piece is made with a hidden love for the carving process.

Condition - This might seem a little daft but we tend to find ethical products the quality is always a lot better than those which are not, mainly due to a hidden love for carving.
